What are your "hard-to-watch" films? Like, they're hard to watch because they bring up a lot of emotions that could be hard to deal with, so you avoid re-watching or will only watch with someone who hasn't seen them. And why?

My two biggest would probably be Lost In Translation and Spirited Away.

LIT mostly because I watched it when I was younger and have always wanted to fall in love in Japan, and it hasn't happened, so I have a hard time dealing with seeing it unfold on screen -- the pangs of regret are real.

SA because it inflicts great memories with great people whom I no longer associate with. It makes me sad, and it makes me wish I was a kid again. I f-ing love that movie, though.
