Earth Star Voyager

I remember seeing this as a kid and was enthralled. It took me years to find a copy. A lot of movies just are not the same when you see them as an adult. This one still stood out for me. I enjoy reading trivia about movies but IMDB has nothing on this. Does anyone know trivia or behind the scenes interviews? What did you think of the movie?
