Why aren't directors making more movies like Pulp Fiction?

What I'm trying to ask is, why are most of the new movies coming out of Hollywood so shitty? I understand that movies like "Transformers 3" and "Fast & Furious 6" make money, but I believe movies like "Pulp Fiction" "The Usual Suspects" and "Snatch" could make a lot of money if directors made modern day movies similar to those. Guess I wanna see more good films and less CGI bullshit.
