I'm searching for an american movie about a boy how receives a staff/swordfrom an old asian man and then wakes up in China.

As I wrote I'm searching for a movie about an american boy who rents a movie from an old asian man. The asian man has an old sword/staff that the buy gets from him. As the boy is on his way home he notice that he is being followed by 5 guys. they chase him and knocks him unconsious. He then wakes up in China etc.
