The Happening... what? via /r/movies

So, I was forced to watch The Happening last night by the girlfriend because she liked it and I’ve never seen it. I went into it with the pre-determined outcome of not liking it, and I was mostly right. The plot and story are horrible at best, but the only redeeming quality was the variety of suicide tactics. The utility men hanging themselves was definitely 10/10 for shock factor, was not expecting that.

Shamalymadingdong really could have done so much better, not to mention the acting of Marky Mark, Zooey, Luigi and the girl. I thought the best acting in the whole movie was done by the creepy old woman. Sold me that she was genuinely a creepy old woman.

Oh, and I get to watch The Last Airbender this weekend because she insists that will make up for me not loving The Happening… save me!
