Superhero Movies (Or the Value of Cinema)
What amazes me about superhero films is how fucking diverse they are. Really they shouldn't be called superhero movies. We have a political thriller (Cap2), a space opera (GoG), and a self-masturbatory horror (Man of Steel).
Frankly the emotions I get during these movies are the only thing that make me feel something other than dead inside. And what really fucking shocks me is how these self-proclaimed film critics will praise something as dull and conventional as Le Chien Andalus or Faust or La Dolce Vita. Those movies are boring. And the only reason people like them is because they're in Spanish or Welsh or something. Whatever, I don't know about other country's movies. They ain't got Marvel.
My point is, Christopher Nolan is the German Expressionist of the modern day, and it would be totally awesome if he directed another genre defying film with explosions and the good guys beating up aliens. Sometimes these movies are so diverse it hurts.
