Star Wars VII - Petition for Porkins

We all know and love Jek Porkins from 1977's Star Wars. It was a sad moment when his X-wing went down during the assault on the first Death Star. But what about his legacy? This post and its subsequent comments are meant to bring to the attention of J.J. Abrams and his producers, if they are not already aware, that we as fans require closure regarding the Porkins legacy. Even a simple check-in with his next of kin will suffice.
