Help remembering large annual film rating books from a decade or two back

I just randomly thought about these books earlier and cannot for the life of me remember the name or find a combination of words that makes them pop up on Google. I used to get them all the time when I was a kid prior to the real widespread use of the internet. They were basically IMDb/Rotten Tomatoes in book form.

They were huge hulking tomes that listed tons of movies and... I think a review and rating. Maybe just a synopsis and a rating. My memory is pretty foggy on it. I want to say there was a dog on the cover or the title had something to do with a dog. That could totally be a false memory though.
