We all now the quality of CGI is getting better over time but does this mean that it's getting more expensive or less?

Today I was thinking about whether the movie industry will reach a point when a CGI actor will be cheaper than a real one, but to be honest I have no idea how much CGI even costs relative to a movie's budget. That's why I asked this question so you people can enlighten me.
