Do parents have the right to get upset about Into the Woods not being entirely child friendly when it's rated PG?

I work at a box office and I've dealt with so many upset parents with small children getting upset by how adult Into the Woods was for their kids. The amount of refunds demanded and complaints is ridiculous. Their complaint is that it's a rated PG movie and the trailer made it seem family friendly.
