To any filmmakers in NYC, why aren't you out on the streets taking advantage of the emptiness?
I'm not an expert on NYC but I know that the streets are never empty. I remember reading that when shooting the times square scene for Birdman, they shot at midnight, and even they the place looked crowded. I would totally pay to see an amatuer film shot while the streets are empty right now. And added plus, your film already has a selling point that would perk up anyone's ears.
DO IT.
I'm stuck in sunny AZ, but if I ever do move to the east coast, I will bring a screenplay with me that could only be shot on empty streets, and I will keep the screenplay and the numbers of a few desperate actors in a file marked "OPEN BEFORE STORM"
