Not watching trailers and ignoring everything written about films is making a much better viewing experience for me.

I stopped watching trailers and reading about TV shows and films a while ago, after spoiling the Lost season 3 finale for myself. I avoid everything and even say to my friends and family that I don't want to know anything, even if they thought it was good or bad (an exception to this rule has been Nolan's trailers, where I just can't help it).

More recently, I went into Nightcrawler, only knowing that Jake Gyllenhaal was in it. I presumed that it was a horror film and had absolutely no idea what to expect and thoroughly enjoyed the film, even more than I had expected to.

Also, with Birdman, I had no idea about its 'one shot' filming style, or other cast members. Only that Michael Keaton was in it, and he may have powers.

Does anybody else totally avoid all trailers, marketing, reviews and just go watch the film knowing nothing about it? If not, you should try it.
