Anyone here see Jodorowsky's The Dance of Reality? With virtually every Best of 2014 list forgetting about this film lets show it some love!

The documentary Jodrowsky's Dune has made it on a few end of year lists and last I heard was on the shortlist for Best Documentary at the Oscars but I haven't seen a single critic mention The Dance of Reality despite it having a 94% on RT. I get that Jodo's style isn't for everyone but The Dance of Reality is a fairly grounded film for the director. Its still fantastical and trippy at times but Old Jodo's presence throughout the film reminds us that this is a wise soul simply looking back at his life through a slightly exaggerated lens. I thought the film was an extremely beautiful take on the struggles of growing up under the watch of fractured parents. The film bombed in theaters but with all the talk this year around the Dune documentary its extremely sad that barely anyone remembers he actually came out with a new film this year.
